Our Ales
We are exceptionally proud of our ales at the Ship and offer four permanent ales & two weekly rotating guest ales.
Our permanent ales include:
Charles Wells, Youngs Bombardier USP (4.3% ABV): A brewery conditioned English Premium Bitter, with a rich, copper colour and a smooth, creamy texture.
Old Speckled Hen (4.5% ABV): A full, smooth flavour and very easy to drink! Its rich amber colour and superb fruity aromas are complemented by a delicious blend of malty tastes. Toffee and malt combine with bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a balanced sweetness, followed by a refreshingly dry finish.
Deuchars IPA (3.8% ABV): Brewed by hand in edinburgh; has proven to be instantly quaffable - quenching the thirsts of beer judges, beer fanatics and beer lovers all over Britain.
Theakston Best Bitter (3.8% ABV): This fine, golden coloured beer has a full flavour that lingers pleasantly on the palate. With a good bitter-sweet balance this beer has a robust hop character described as citrus and spicy. A refreshing and very satisfying pint!
