...but the designers have eschewed the tired "battered furniture and bare boards" look and redecorated it to look... just like a proper pub! For this alone it's worth visiting; when you add in well kept draft beers, friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere and the fact you can usually find a seat...
The best pub in Holborn by a mile! A real jem of a place. Tucked behind Holborn tube station the Ship Tavern was like a breath of fresh air after a hard slog at the office.
